About Us
The Ginkgo Tree is a Historic Boutique Hotel and Private Event Venue, conveniently located right in the middle of the state, in the charming town of Mount Pleasant, Michigan.
Dr. Sheridan E. Gardiner began to build this home in 1901, moving slowly with precise detail.
He was not anxious to finish the big house until he met his bride-to-be and then as history tells us, he quickly finished the large home so they could marry.
Owners David & Layla Davis have been local to Central Michigan since 2003, where they met freshman year in college. In September, 2021, they saw an opportunity to enhance the community experience and showcase a hidden gem to travelers near and far.
